Affiliates can engage in search engine marketing related to VAMortgage.com with the following restrictions:
Direct Linking
Search affiliates may not link directly to the VAMortgage.com website from a paid search campaign.
Keywords
- Affiliates may not bid on VAMortgage.com, 1st Mariner Bank, 1st Mariner Mortgage, related trademarks, domain names, misspellings or any variations thereof in paid search listings.
- Prohibited keywords include, but are not limited to: VAMortgage.com, VAMorgage.com, 1stMarinerBank.com, 1stMarinerMortgage.com, etc.
- These terms must be added as negative, broad match keywords in your account.
- Affiliates can bid on any competitors' trademarks, but must land the user on the affiliate's website first.
- Affiliates cannot use "Official Site" language or any variations of this in ad copy, or on their website.
- Publishers are prohibited from using the following terms in the display URLs and ad copy:
- VAMortgage.com (and all variations and typos thereof - for example "VAMortggae" and "VAMorgage").
- Any terms/phrases that relate directly to our products, services, or advertising (e.g., "1st Mariner Bank", "1st Mariner Mortgage", "We Built This Bank/Mortgage For You") and any obvious variations.
Website Policy for VAMortgage.com words in Website URLs
- VAMortgage.com (and all variations and typos thereof - for example "VAMortggae" and "VAMorgage").
- Websites must not contain any objectionable content. Objectionable content includes sexually explicit material, gambling, alcohol/tobacco/drug/firearms use, violence, hatred, cruelty to animals, criminal or illegal activities, discrimination based on race, color, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age, and/or content that specifically targets minors.
- Website must not contain incentives for using the website (e.g., points, cash back, etc.).
- VAMortgage.com copyrighted images or taglines shall not be used with express written permission.
- Website may not use VAMortgage.com or 1st Mariner Bank or 1st Mariner Mortgage taglines and/or intellectual property (e.g., "We Built This Bank/Mortgage For You").
- Website must not reference services that VAMortgage.com performs (e.g., "We can help you get approved.").
- Affiliate shall not purport to give recommendations of the services provided.
- Link Farms - pages that contain nothing but paid links to other companies.
- Incentive Sites - sites that provide points, cash back, etc. to users.
- No Coupon Sites.
- Comparison Sites - sites which compare interest rates, program features, closing costs, etc.
Sub-Affiliates Publishers are not allowed to distribute their links to other affiliates in their own network.
Any violations of this policy may result in the reversal and non-payment of all outstanding commissions and removal from the VAMortgage.com affiliate program.
