NB 1 In addition to the transaction ID 3 produce which is reported in the buy.at interface- they also assign their own internal reference number which is a 237 OR 238 code that only appears in a pop-up box when a handset it baught online via an affiliate link. 3 Mobile need this in order to look into any sales that you may have issues with.
NB 2
Advertising of vouchers without authorisation from 3 will result in immediate termination from the programme and rejection of sales earned using the voucher code.
NB 3
Sales are approved on a net connect basis after de-duplication and the 14 days cooloff period has passed.
Therefore, a sale will go through the following process.
The sale will enter your management area is a 'pending' status, it will then pass through the deduping process within 48 hours. If deduped, it will then report to a 'held' status which has to go past the usual 14 day cooloff period where sales are processed as a net connect or reject by 3 Mobile. Therefore those transactions that do not pass the Dedupe or 14 day cooloff period process will and will sit in a 'n' status and will be rejected on the 5th of the following month covering the previous months trade.
Sales can be rejected due to failed credit checks, incorrectly filled out applications resulting sales being completed offline and de-duplication against other online channels...
...NB 3 De-duplication in more detail
Three mobile have implemented some new tracking which deal with de-duplication across their other online channels.
What this does is confirm which cookie was last dropped in the sales process. This takes into account cookies from all our online channels including our own PPC, Online Banners, and in-house affiliates. Previously, it was possible that they would paying for a connection through more than one channel (a duplicate sale). The deduping process removes this by allocating the sale to the last reported click.
What reasons are commissions declined?
• Order cancelled • Item was returned • Customer failed credit check • Breach of programme terms and conditions • Duplicate order • Item was out of stock • Other
(Definition of De-duplication)
Three Mobile pays out on shipped sales. Sales are de-duplicated using a third party tracking solution.
Below shows an example of how the de-depulication process works:

Incentive Schemes, Payment of Early Termination Fee’s & Cash Back
What is a Cash back scheme?
o Cashback is an offer, where a mobile phone retailer undertakes to pay an amount of money to the customer when they take out a mobile phone contract from a mobile service provider. o A promise to pay Early Termination Fees on the customer’s existing mobile services contract is regarded by Three as a form of cash back. What do we mean by incentive scheme? o This could be any promise or offer of a gift, discount or free service associated with the purchase of Three products and services. o Anybody selling Three products & services must inform Three’s Compliance Team about any cash back or incentive schemes being offered to encourage people to buy Three services. o Three expects that if we instruct an authorised seller to stop associating our products and services with any scheme it will be done immediately if it is not being run in a compliant manner. Three Sales teams and authorised sellers must not: o Refuse to settle a customer’s payment or incentive if their account is up to date but has an outstanding balance. o Require customers to send in original bills to claim promised payments. Copies will suffice. o Charge a fee for processing a claim for any cash back or incentive scheme o Set an unreasonably short period of time for a customer to redeem an offer or incentive. Three considers 90 days to be the minimum period of time in which a customer can redeem an incentive or cash back. Authorised Sellers must: o Ensure that if they advertise an incentive scheme or cash back offer it is made explicitly clear in the body of the advert that the scheme is offered by the authorised seller and is not in any way associated with, endorsed by or made on behalf of Three. o The incentive scheme or cash back offer must be advertised as a separate offer from any Three products or services the incentive is being promoted with. o If relevant ensure that customers know they have to claim an offer directly from the authorised seller and that it will not automatically be paid or applied to their bill from Three. o If relevant ensure that customers know they have to claim an offer directly from the authorised seller and that it will not automatically be paid or applied to their bill from Three. o Provide customers with details of the incentive or cash back offer in one of the following mediums before they buy: Leaflets Welcome Pack / Letter (only for telesales, provided that the information has also been given verbally on the phone) Website Email o Provide details to customers about the lead times for processing redemption claims for cash backs or other incentives. o Publish details in an easily accessible format that enables customers
