*Please note: voucher code affiliates are offered 3% commission as standard.

A voucher code directory is defined as the following:

- The URL contains the following or derivatives of these terms: ‘code’ ‘voucher code’ ‘promotional code’ ‘voucher’ ‘coupon’ - Website appears in search engine listings under any of the terms or derivatives of those outlined above - Website’s primary focus is to promote the use of voucher codes

Commission is calculated as a proportion of the sales price , inclusive of VAT. Commission is calculated on a 'net dispatch demand' basis meaning that commission will not be rewarded for sales that are not processed or that re processed and subsequently reversed if due to users' fraudulent activity or customer product returns.

We anticipate the programme's reversal rate will mean typically 45% of orders are rejected. However, this will differ per publisher as the type of traffic driven is a key determinant to the rejection rate.

Special terms and conditions for the Shop Direct Home Shopping Limited brand Empire Stores – www.empirestores.co.uk.
Please note that when you become a publisher to the Empire Stores Programme, the following conditions must be adhered to, in addition to those set out in the buy.at Affiliate Agreement.

Publishers cannot under any circumstances use the product feed to advertise on Froogle (http://froogle.google.co.uk). In the event that an affiliate is found in breach of this term, the person concerned will be removed from the programme.
You agree not to put the Empire Stores website into Frames or use masked URLs
You agree not to run Add to Favourite pop ups or campaigns on your site that lead the consumer to believe they are bookmarking the official www.empirestores.co.uk.
You agree to allow users to navigate your site using the browser back button
You agree not to include links or banners in any form of email or newsletter without the prior consent of the affiliate manager from Shop Direct Home Shopping Limited (SDG). Also, SDG must receive written confirmation that the email lists that these e-mails or newsletters are sent to are opt in lists in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998
You agree not to use Empire Stores banners or links as Pop ups or Pop unders to your site
You agree not to use the product datafeed to generate pop unders from your site in the form of spawning. This is the practice of displaying a pop under of a specific product page from the Empire Stores site, which is relevant to the search term used on a Search engine
You agree not to alter any of the creative or logos presented in the buy.at interface and will only use those that are available
You agree to send Shop Direct the copy you plan to use in any solus emails prior to sending. You are only allowed to send these emails once they have been approved

If you breach any of the conditions above, you accept that you will be removed from the SDG Programmes with immediate effect (not withstanding any provision for notice in the buy.at Publisher Service Agreement), any accrued commission will not be paid to you and you will be refused application to SDG programmes under any other affiliate name or through another site.

PPC Terms

Search Engine Pay Per Click advertising (PPC)

You agree not to directly or indirectly bid on the brand name Empire Stores or any confusingly similar words, miss-spellings or derivatives of the brand. This includes Google, E-Spotting and Overture and any other PPC provider. As an example but in no way limited to, common misspellings might include: Empire Stres, Empir Stores, Empre Stores, Emmpire Stores
You agree not to use www.empirestores.co.uk as the display URL in Google, or any other PPC provider or generally mislead the consumer into believing the advertisement is from the official Empire Stores site. This includes all PPC keywords
You agree not to bid on Empire Stores brand names or use www.empirestores.co.uk as the display URL for the purpose of diverting consumers to Empire Store’s competitors or any other website
You agree not to purchase any URLS with the Empire Stores brand or misspelt words as the web address

• You agree not to perform any of these activities: “Cookie stuffing”, “Cookie dropping”, “Spyware” or “Parasiteware” practices, Forced clicks. Definitions: “Cookie Stuffing /Dropping” / “Forced Clicks” The practice of automatically simulating a physical click of an affiliate link. When a simulated click of an affiliate link happens, the clickstream happens as it normally would if a real person had actually clicked the link. The affiliate link is sent to the respective Network (Buy.at) servers, the click is recorded and tracking cookies are placed on the end user's computer. “Spyware” Spyware is a software used to monitor and track web users without their consent or opt-in. Spyware is computer software that is installed surreptitiously on a personal computer to intercept or take partial control over the user's interaction with the computer, without the user's informed consent. Spyware programs can collect various types of personal information, such as Internet surfing habit, sites that have been visited, but can also interfere with user control of the computer in other ways, such as installing additional software, redirecting Web browser activity, accessing websites blindly that will cause more harmful viruses, or diverting advertising revenue to a third party. “Parasiteware” Parasiteware is a term used to describe any type of software or code that is engineered to attack and damage a computer system. It is a software that is working without the user’s permission and knowledge and undermines or removes another affiliate’s ability to compete by changing, intercepting or redirecting an affiliate link. Parasiteware is an unsolicited commercial software. Parasiteware might also be installed without a user’s knowledge and alters normal Internet browser functions. After self-installation it can do much more legal and illegal action, typically for someone’s profit. Use of promotional codes or ‘voucher codes’ in any way other than for their intended usage and audience is strictly forbidden. If you are in anyway uncertain please contact your buy.at account manager before promoting a code. •The Shop Direct Group would like you to understand that if any of these terms and conditions are broken you will be suspended from the programme and commission reversed.
